We honor his remarkable achievements and the lives he's touched This article profiles eight new FDA-approved drugs containing fluorine along with the fragments of amino acids or their derivatives. These pharmaceuticals include Eflornithine, Lotilaner, Leniolisib, Fezolinetant, Nirmatrelvir, Repotrectinib, Nirogacestat, and Pirtobrutinib, representing such therapeutic areas as cancer, neuromuscular disorder, immunodeficiency, virology, and infectious diseases. Importance of fluorination, amino acid residues as well as chirality in the design of new pharmaceuticals is highlighted
