| description | The oak-spruce stands in Podillya region in fresh hornbeam oak forest type were studied. Comparison of productivity of oak stands with and without spruce introduction in the initial stand composition was performed. The dynamics of productivity change and distribution of oak and spruce trees by diameter were analyzed. It was found that there is an opportunity to get 70–130 m3 of wood additionally in oak and spruce stands up to 40–50 years in Podillya. The optimal is two-stage stand cutting by felling spruce at age of 40 and 60 years. The intensity of the first stage should be 30–50 % with further cutting the reserved part. The most appropriate method is to conduct the first cutting of spruce trees of Kraft classes 1 and 2 to reduce the competition impact on oak. Later spruce felling leads to oak inhibition and reducing its productivity. |

Later spruce felling leads to oak inhibition and reducing its productivity. Досліджено дубово-ялинові насадження Подільського регіону в умовах свіжої грабової діброви. Проведено порівняння продуктивності дубових деревостанів із введенням ялини та без її участі. Простежено динаміку зміни таксаційних показників насаджень, а також розподіл дерев дуба та ялини за діаметром. За результатами досліджень встановлено, що до 40–60-річного віку у дубово-ялинових насадженнях Поділля є можливість додатково отримати 70–130 м3 деревини. Оптимальним є двоприйомне зрідження деревостанів шляхом вирубування ялини у віці 40 і 60 років. Інтенсивність проведення першого прийому має становити 30–50 % із подальшим вирубуванням залишеної частини. Найбільш доцільно у перший прийом вирубувати дерева ялини I та II класів Крафта з метою зменшення конкурентного впливу на дуб.
