В статье рассматриваются подходы к удалению муниципальных твердых бытовых отходов в мире и ЕС. Определено, что приоритетом для Украины является использование энергетического потенциала ТБО для производства тепловой энергии для нужд населения, что позволит заместить соответствующее количество природного газа. Предложена концепция похода к внедрению ТЕЦ на ТБО для городов Украины с различной численностью населения. У статті розглядаються підходи до видалення муніципальних твердих побутових відходів у світі та ЄС. Визначено, що пріоритетом для України є використання енергетичного потенціалу ТПВ для виробництва теплової енергії для потреб населення, що дозволить замістити відповідну кількість природного газу. Запропоновано концепцію підходу до впровадження ТЕЦ на ТПВ для міст України з різною чисельністю населення.
