description The purpose of the work is to carry out a preliminary feasibility study of some typical projects on the production and consumption of agribiomass briquettes in Ukraine. The task of the work is to analyse and summarize the results of the feasibility study. The research methods include an overview of the successful examples of the production and use of biomass briquettes in Ukraine, the identification of priority types of relevant projects, the assessment of the main technical and economic indicators of several typical bioenergy projects. The results of the work make it possible to conclude whether it is feasible or not to implement certain types of projects in this segment of bioenergy. It is shown that today in Ukraine there are already examples of successful implementation of projects on the production and consumption of different biomass type briquettes. These examples include projects implemented for grants and business projects. For Ukraine, several promising options for the production and use of biomass briquettes can be suggested. The three typical variants of the biofuel production projects are as follows: (1) a rural enterprise produces agribiomass briquettes and sells them as a substitute for expensive coal to the local population and other consumers using small boilers with manual loading; (2) villagers or members of a united territorial community create an energy cooperative within which they produce biomass briquettes for their own consumption; (3) a large agrarian enterprise produces briquettes from its own agricultural raw materials and sells the product partly to its employees, partly to other consumers. Typical types of projects for the use of biomass briquettes can be as follows: an individual consumer or a trade/service organization or an industrial/commercial enterprise uses biomass briquettes in an existing boiler (replacement of coal) or in a newly purchased boiler of the appropriate capacity (replacement of coal/natural gas). The results of the preliminary feasibility study of these typical projects show that all the projects are economically feasible with a discounted payback period of 3-5 years.

Целью работы является выполнение предварительного технико-экономического обоснования типичных проектов производства и потребления топливных брикетов из агробиомассы в Украине. Задача работы заключается в анализе и обобщении полученных результатов технико-экономического обоснования. Методы исследования включают обзор существующих в Украине успешных примеров производства и использования топливных брикетов из биомассы, определение приоритетных видов соответствующих проектов, оценку основных технических и экономических показателей нескольких типичных биоэнергетических проектов. Результаты работы позволяют сделать вывод о целесообразности или нецелесообразности реализации определенных видов проектов в данном сегменте биоэнергетики. Показано, что на сегодня в Украине уже существуют примеры успешной реализации проектов по производству и потреблению топливных брикетов из различных видов биомассы. Эти примеры включают как проекты, реализованные за гранты, так и бизнес-проекты. Для условий Украины можно предложить несколько перспективных вариантов производства и использования топливных брикетов из биомассы. Три типичных варианта проектов по производству данного вида биотоплива следующие: (1) предприятие в сельской местности производит брикеты из агробиомассы и продает их как заменитель дорогого угля местному населению и другим потребителям, использующим небольшие котлы с ручной загрузкой; (2) жители села или члены объединенной территориальной общины создают энергетический кооператив, в рамках которого производят брикеты из биомассы для собственного потребления; (3) крупное аграрное предприятие производит брикеты из собственного агросырья и продает часть продукции своим сотрудникам, а остальное – внешним потребителям. Типичные виды проектов по использованию топливных брикетов из биомассы могут быть такими: индивидуальный потребитель или заведение торговли/сферы обслуживания или предприятие (промышленное, коммерческое) использует брикеты из биомассы в существующем котле (замещение угля) или в новоприобретенном котле соответствующей мощности (замещение угля/природного газа). Результаты предварительного технико-экономического обоснования указанных типичных проектов показывают, что все они являются экономически целесообразными с дисконтированным сроком окупаемости в пределах 3-5 лет. Метою роботи є виконання попереднього техніко-економічного обґрунтування типових проектів з виробництва та споживання паливних брикетів з агробіомаси в Україні. Завдання роботи полягає в аналізі і узагальненні отриманих результатів техніко-економічного обґрунтування. Методи дослідження включають огляд існуючих в Україні успішних прикладів виробництва та використання паливних брикетів з біомаси, визначення пріоритетних видів відповідних проектів, оцінку основних технічних та економічних показників кількох типових біоенергетичних проектів. Результати роботи дають змогу зробити висновок про доцільність або недоцільність реалізації певних видів проектів в даному сегменті біоенергетики. Показано, що на сьогодні в Україні вже існують приклади успішної реалізації проектів з виробництва та споживання паливних брикетів з різних видів біомаси. Ці приклади включають як проекти, впроваджені за грантові кошти, так і бізнес-проекти. Для умов України можна запропонувати кілька перспективних варіантів виробництва та використання паливних брикетів з біомаси. Три типових варіанти проектів з виробництва даного виду біопалива наступні: (1) підприємство в сільській місцевості виробляє брикети з агробіомаси і продає їх як замінник дорогого вугілля місцевому населенню та іншим споживачам, що використовують невеликі котли з ручним завантаженням; (2) мешканці села або члени об’єднаної територіальної громади створюють енергетичний кооператив, в рамках якого виробляють брикети з біомаси для власного споживання; (3) крупне аграрне підприємство виробляє брикети з власної агросировини і продає частину продукції своїм співробітникам, а решту – зовнішнім споживачам. Типові види проектів з використання паливних брикетів з біомаси можуть бути такими: індивідуальний споживач або заклад торгівлі/сфери обслуговування або підприємство (промислове, комерційне) використовує брикети з біомаси в існуючому котлі (заміщення вугілля) або у новопридбаному котлі відповідної потужності (заміщення вугілля/природного газу). Результати попереднього техніко-економічного обґрунтування зазначених типових проектів показують, що всі проекти є економічно доцільними з дисконтованим терміном окупності в межах 3-5 років.
