Implementation of the system approach to design and analysis of the Grid-system functioning is proposed. It is constructed an hierarchical structural model of the Earth observation Grid-system consisted of several regional and specialized Grid-systems. On the basis of structural-functional analysis the weakly formalized problem of the structure and productivity optimization of the node of complex hierarchical system is reduced to a number of discrete optimization problems. Proposed approach was approved while real Earth observation Grid-system design. Запропоновано реалізацію системного підходу до побудови та аналізу функціонування Grid-систем. Побудовано ієрархічну структурну модель Grid-системи спостереження Землі, що об’єднує декілька регіональних та спеціалізованих Grid-систем. На основі проведеного структурно-функціонального аналізу слабо формалізовану задачу оптимізації структури та продуктивності вузла складної ієрархічної системи зведено до ряду задач дискретної оптимізації. Запропонований підхід апробовано при побудові реальної Grid-системи спостереження Землі. V.M.
