Problems of Control and Informatics| Резюме: | The method is designed to provide early warning of peatlands fires and to assess the danger of underground fire according to data of the temperature field of the territory from spacecraft. Peatland fires are a type of landscape fires that occur spontaneously, due to spontaneous combustion or during forest fires, and most often by anthropogenic causes in swamps that have a large drained peat layer. In Ukraine, peatlands that were developed in previous years (for the extraction of peat or for agricultural production) and currently withdrawn from economic activity, and nobody cares about them, periodically burn. Precipitations and damping by slight irrigation of water affect the intensity of peat burning only at the initial stage of the fire. This fire feature makes early warning of peatlands fires extremely relevant. Underground fire and underground exothermic processes lead to small manifestations of temperature anomalies on the surface, this does not allow to determine the fire hazard at the early stages of the fire development, directly from the data of an aerial or satellite survey. However, the structure of the spatial distribution of the thermal field over the surface of the peatlands allows revealing anomalies, a dangerous fire situation and controlling the fire at all stages of its development. For this, a statistical multifractal model of the temperature field is used. The method is supported by a computer program for statistical multifractal analysis of a unsmooth temperature field, in the appendix to the article, an example and results of calculations for processing the temperature field of a peat bog are given. An indicator of fire hazard is introduced in the model a risk measure that allows to monitor the underground geothermal situation in the peatland and predict the trend of the dangerous geothermal process. |
