The specificity of casting billet on multi-varietal continuous caster is the inability to control the quality of each billet, including their surface. This paper presents the results of industrial studies of the conditions for the occurrence of surface defects associated with spraying of steel at the site of the industrial-bucket batcher and the mold of the sectional caster, as well as an assessment of the possibility of reducing the phenomenon of rhenium during the start of the caster. This publication also presents the results of apply-ing «gauge» inserts for dosing glasses with alternative chemical composition. The results of the work tes-tify to the prospect of research aimed at the use of «gauge» dosing glasses with alternative chemical composition, allowing for a stable outflow of the metal jet at the start of the continuous casting machine series. |
