Casting Processes| Резюме: | Based on the analysis of scientific publications of domestic and foreign authors and the results of own research, it has been established that in the iron-carbon system, in the steel range of the carbon content of 0.35−0.8 %, the functions of depreciation of railway wheels and rails and the fracture toughness of mildly-carbon steels are similar, have a descending branch, an inflection in the region of 0.8 % carbon, and go to the exponent with a carbon content of more than 0.8 %, which corresponds to the Kurnakov’s law. |
