Досліджено роль фактору переміщення розплаву щодо охолоджуючої поверхні при здійсненні прямого термічного методу (DTM). Показано, що необхідною умовою формування недендритної структури є поширення зародків, що утворилися поблизу охолоджуючих поверхонь (стінок і дна кокіля) по всьому об’єму заготівки, що досягається перемішуючою дією струменя розплаву при заливці.
