Casting Processes| Резюме: | The technical information notes the predominant development of special methods of casting, in particular, casting under pressure, as well as with vacuum casting. Also today, digitization and automation are perceived as a necessary condition for the organization of production processes. In particular, this concerns the foundry industry of Ukraine to create a powerful potential that will contribute to the recovery of the country. A review of the work developed by the department of Prof. O. Y. Shinsky series of methods of casting metal according to patterns that are gasified (Lost Foam casting, LFC) in sand molds using regulated gas pressure or rarefaction. The described methods combine the use of single-use patterns with ventilation channels to create a directed gas regime in the pattern and form and the adjustable effect of gas pressure on filling the form with metal. These methods allow both to regulate the filling of the mold with metal, affecting the quality of the castings, and to manufacture metal products of complex configuration with printing of their patterns in automatic mode based on digital data, which corresponds to the growing trend of digi tization and automation of foundry processes. The total benefit is obtained from both the fairly fast 3D printing of the foundry pattern and the short-term processes of forming and punching out the castings thanks to the use of dry sand casting molds. At the same time, the digital transformation of LFC is combined with the efficiency of reversible application of molding materials without changing the current standards of control of metal products, which is often characteristic of methods of 3D printing of metal structures. Adaptation of production to additive technologies allows interaction with the buyer of the product, which is designed according to his individual digital drawing, using the Internet. Also, this combination of new digital processes with traditional production processes shortens the time gap from the creation of prototypes, pilot samples of products to mass production. |
