Резюме:The analysis of the world market of metal castings in 2020–2022 is presented. Due to the fact that as of the beginning of March 2024 the publication of world statistics on the production of metal castings did not take place, an evaluation analysis of the production of castings in 2022 was carried out. As a result of the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, problems arose in the global economy in such segments as energy, logistics, finance, etc. As a result, for 2022 the world GDP increased by only 3.1%, and the production of castings was estimated at 111.8 million tons (-37.8% against 2021). Analysts of the company Vision Research Reports (Canada/India) estimate the global market of metal castings in 2022. in the amount of 136.8 billion dollars. USA. It is predicted that for the period from 2023 to 2032, the market will grow at an average annual rate (CAGR) of 5.6% and will reach an indicator of 234.7 billion dollars. USA. The analytical report notes that in 2022 the largest consumer of metal castings was the automotive industry with a share of 60%, followed by mechanical engineering (23%) and construction.). The report of the European Foundry Association (CAEF) notes the complexity of the economic, financial and political situation in European countries in 2022. At the same time, the foundry industry of the CAEF countries produced 10.7 million tons of castings from ferrous metal alloys (-1.2% vs. 2021) and 3.8 million tons of castings from non ferrous metal alloys (-1.4% vs. 2021). According to World Bank data, in 2023 the economic growth of the euro zone countries slows down to 0.4%. It is estimated that this will lead to a decrease in the production of castings in the CAEF countries by 8.6...8.9% in 2023. against the indicators of 2022. In general, in 2022 foundries of the CAEF countries produced 10.7 million tons of castings from ferrous metal alloys (gray cast iron, nodular cast iron, ductile cast iron, and steel), which compared to 2020 is characterized by an average annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.6%. At the same time, this indicator was 6.5% less than in 2019. and by 12.1% - than in 2018. In the CAEF countries in 2022. the production of castings from non-ferrous metal alloys decreased by -1.1% compared to 2021. and reached 3,763.5 thousand tons, although in comparison with 2020 the average annual growth rate was 4.3%. In Ukraine in 2022 production of metal castings is estimated at 300,000 tons against 650,000 tons in 2021. (-53.8%). It is expected that by the end of 2023 production will reach 350 thousand tons. The main factor that negatively affected both the economy of Ukraine and the production of metal castings is the military actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which began in February 2022.
