The modern development of digital technologies has made it possible to increase computing power and reduce the cost of their use, which made it possible to combine information technology with operational processes to create digital twins (DT) of technological processes. The DT of a Lost Foam casting (LFC) process is viewed as a digital copy to optimize its efficiency. DT contribute to the rapid development of modern companies. With the help of them, the support of technical systems is simplified, the efficiency of error and failure risk management is increased, and the stability of work is increased. The DT allows for the input data of the equipment to provide for the key parameters of the production products. DT is a virtual reproduction of the working state of a real physical object, process, system, or an entire service. It can be a virtual double of a part, product, equipment, technological process, production sites, workshops, or even factories. In fact, it is a set of mathematical models describing the state of an object and all its elements. In general, the DT includes: a geometric model of the object; a set of calculated data for parts, assemblies and the object as a whole (mathematical models that describe all physical processes occurring in the object); as well as information on technological processes of manufacturing and assembly of individual elements; some data about the tests of the object, for example, the readings of the sensors, by which the calculated data can be confirmed. Thus, the DT allows in virtual space to simulate the change in the state and characteristics of the entire product when the characteristics of any of its elements or technological operations of its production change. The systems of remote monitoring of the technological process parameters for the central hall of the casting shop according to the LFC process are considered, as well as methods for their rational solution on the theoretical basis of modern applied mathematics. |
