Zusammenfassung:Similarities of the dose dependences of the effect of ionizing radiation of incorporated radionuclides with different biological significance (14C, 106Ru, 144Ce) and mercury in small, medium and lethal doses on the division rate and dimensional characteristics of unicellular algae have been obtained. Resulting of these experiments, the dose-equivalent of the maximum allowable concentration of mercury in marine environment was assessed to be equal the dose rate of ionizing radiation ≈ 35 Gy∙y-1. It allows comparing the toxic effects of nuclear and non-nuclear pollutants.
