Marine Ecological Journal| Резюме: | For the first time the results of the analysis of the size and number of oocytes in the gonads of 3 specimens of the brill Scophthalmus rhombus from the northern part of the Black Sea where this species is very rare, are presented. The size composition of oocytes in the ovaries of the studied specimens corresponded to discontinuous type of oogenesis and to multiple spawning. The potential absolute individual fecundity in the specimen with standard body length 316 mm and total weight 781 g caught at the beginning of its spawning was 792.9 thousand oocytes, the batch fecundity was 79.8 thousand oocytes. The probability of effective reproduction of the brill in the Black Sea including its northern part is considered. |
