Резюме:Oyster Crassostrea gigas, cultivated in the Black Sea, actively populated by the boring sponge Pione vastifica. Oyster C. gigas, involved by sponge P. vastifica, have overall mass by 31%, and of inner organs by 14% less than in healthy oysters. Involvement of oysters by the sponge negatively impacts on sanitary-microbiological indices of shellfish, both in the process of growing and at storage.
