Zusammenfassung:Combined effect of irradiance and temperature on specific growth rate of two species of diatoms Phaeodactylum tricornutum and Nitzschia sp. № 3 in a wide range of light intensity and temperature is investigated. The initial slope (α) of the light dependence of the specific growth rate (μ) is independent of temperature in the range 5 – 20°С. Temperature 25°С causes a decrease in both (α), and (μ) of two species of algae. The coefficient Q10 is 1.7 – 2.4 on the rising part of the temperature dependence at saturating light. The combined effect of irradiance and temperature is shown on the site of the light inhibition of growth. Decrease of temperature leads to a narrowing of the light plateau and increases the degree of a light inhibition.
