Since 1992, the marine environment has been ameliorating and the trophic level declining. Special emphasis is placed on that trophic status should be assessed for each area of the sea separately. |

В обзоре обсуждены определения и терминология по проблеме антропогенной эвтрофикации морской пелагиали, причины и следствия этого процесса. Сравниваются используемые количественные показатели трофического статуса акваторий. С середины прошлого века трофический статус глубоководных районов Черного моря сменился с олиготрофно-мезотрофного на мезотрофно-эвтрофный. В прибрежных и эстуарных регионах к концу 1980-х гг. трофическое состояние вод достигало иногда гипертрофного уровня. С начала 1990-х гг. в разных частях Черного моря отмечается некоторое снижение уровня трофности и улучшение состояния среды. Подчеркивается целесообразность оценки трофического статуса не для моря в целом, а для конкретных акваторий.
