Summary: | The peculiarities of the information system to support the work of modern marine research institute are analyzed on the basis of the Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IBSS NASU). For the effective work scientist needs as its own data as access to the interdisciplinary oceanographic data collected by the IBSS, different documents and scientific publications produced by the institute, data of other organizations in Ukraine and abroad, collected by the world, regional, and thematic data centers. It is proposed to solve the problem of the information support of the scientific research by creation of the universal computer system of collection, quality control, processing, visualization, and archiving of data and information. The block-schema of the proposed system and description of already developed modules and modules under development are presented. |
