Summary:The results of experimental work carried the Odessa coastal waters in May – September 2008 with the use of a special underwater «Phytocarrusel» construction have been considered. The laws governing the linking of structural-functional parameters of communities of phytoovergrowth with different orientation of underwater surfaces (angle of slope and azimuth) are given. The optimum orientation for development of macrophytes and microepiphyton have been determined. Quantitative evidence has been received for allowing to refer to an engineering solution of the objective of ecological optimization of hydrotechnical structures with the use of necessary parameters of underwater constructions.
