Чорне море, біомаса фітопланктону, сезонний хід, міжрічна мінливість Black Sea, phytoplankton biomass, seasonal trend, interannual variability Spatial and temporal variability of the phytoplankton biomass and its stocks in the different parts of the Black Sea were analyzed from 1948 to 2001 period based on the statistical treatment of multi-year investigations. Mean phytoplankton biomass in the southern and central parts of the sea varies between 10 - 20 g·m-2, gradually increasing to 30 - 40 g·m-2 on the north-west shelf and reaching 50 g·m-2 and more in the Danube region. In the deep area seasonal variability of the phytoplankton biomass is characterized by two close to the U-shaped types. In the shelf zone of the western and northwestern parts of the sea seasonal variation is described by three basic types, and in the highly dynamic slope water their number increases to five ones at least. Long-term dynamics of phytoplankton is characterized by undulating changes in its development in the absence of statistically significant trends for the series of annual anomalies of the biomass. In the deep part of the sea it’s closely related to the winter climate conditions and to the interannual variability of river runoff in the Danube region. The total biomass of the Black Sea phytoplankton amounted to 7.9·106 tons of wet weight on average for the year during the study period. На основі статистичної обробки даних багаторічних досліджень проаналізована просторово-часова мінливість біомаси фітопланктону, і дана оцінка його запасів у різних районах Чорного моря в період з 1948 р. по 2001 р. Середньо багаторічні значення біомаси фітопланктону в південній та центральній частинах моря варіюють у межах 10 - 20 г·м-2, поступово збільшуючись до 30 - 40 г·м-2 на північно-західному шельфі і досягаючи 50 г·м-2 і більше в придунайському районі. Сезонна мінливість біомаси фітопланктону в глибоководній області характеризується двома близькими до U-образного типами внутрішньорічної динаміки. У шельфовій зоні західної та північно-західної частин моря сезонний хід описується трьома основними типами кривих, а в області звали глибин, в умовах високої динамічної активності вод, їх число зростає як мінімум до п'яти. Багаторічна динаміка фітопланктону характеризується хвилеподібними змінами його розвитку при відсутності статистично значущих трендів по рядах аномалій річного ходу біомаси. У глибоководній частині моря вона тісно пов'язана з довгоперіодними змінами кліматичних умов у зимовий період, у придунайському районі - з міжрічної варіабельністю обсягу річкового стоку. Загальна біомаса чорноморського фітопланктону в досліджуваний період у середньому за рік становила 7.9·106 т сирої маси.
