М. планктон, пелагіаль, міграції, акустичне поле, моря Середземноморського басейну plankton, pelagial, migrations, acoustic field, the Mediterranean basin seas The sound – scattering layers (SSL) spatial-temporary variability and the composition of hydrobionts inhabiting these SSL have been investigated as a result of analysis of acoustic and corresponding biological parameters data base (1979 – 1999). The Mediterranean basin was divided into regions, which have different hydrological, ecological and biological parameters. The region with the most vertical SSL stratification is the west region (Alboran Sea) and the region with the most daily SSL vertical migrations range is the central region (Ionian Sea). The high daily dynamics of subsurface layer acoustic scattering parameters is typical for the Black and the Aegean seas. У результаті аналізу матеріалів експедиційних досліджень ІнБПМ НАН України (1979 – 1999) вивчені просторово-тимчасова мінливість шарів, що розсівають звук (ЗРШ), верхнього продуктивного шару морів Середземноморського басейну і склад гідробіонтів що населяє їх. Проведено районування Середземномор'я на 5 регіонів, які відрізняються за гідроакустичними, гідрологічними і біологічними параметрами. Виявлено, що море Альборан є регіоном з найбільшою вертикальною стратифікацією ЗРШ, тоді як найбільшим діапазоном добових вертикальних міграцій ЗРС відрізняється Іонічне море. Висока добова динаміка звукового розсіювання приповерхневого шару характерна для Чорного та Егейського морів.
