Summary: | The maximal growth rate of Synechococcus elongatus, adapted to different spectral composition of light (white, blue, green, red), was observed on the red light, and the minimal growth rate was observed on the blue light. The growth rates were approximately equal on the white and green light. Reliable changes of cell pigment contents and cell pigment ratios was not observed, it is in this connection possible to conclude that at S. elongatus absents complementary chromatic adaptation. |
