Visnyk of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine| Резюме: | The report states that language issues occupy an important place in the social evolution of Ukraine. However, the main focus in this area is still on establishing the primacy of the Ukrainian language in the humanities-related, ethnographic, and everyday-life areas of its use. This approach caused certain miscalculations, as it ignored the global shifts that have recently occurred in the global communication system and the transformation of the nature of language functioning from one based purely on humanities to a technological one. Modern intellectual linguistic research should cover all structural and substantive levels of the language system, and therefore there is an urgent need to modernize the national scientific lingua-information base and to adjust accordingly the system of traditional linguistic studies, reorienting them to evolution-determined and technology-oriented paradigms of linguistic research. |
