The history of Ukraine is, in fact, the history of the national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people for their state. This struggle was aimed at liberating the Ukrainian people from foreign rule and gaining national state independence. Russia’s open and full-scale armed aggression, blatant anti-Ukrainian rhetoric and denial of Ukraine’s right to be a sovereign state became a real threat to Ukrainian statehood and actualized a number of problems regarding its sustainment not only during the war, but also after its end. |
