Today, at the current stage of technological civilization development, Skovoroda's practical philosophy of dialogue with the primacy of ethical values acquires especial relevance, because an extremely important aspect of his legacy is that he opposes the consumerism, and the path of self-discovery, according to Skovoroda, means distinguishing between real and apparent values of human life, rejection of everything superfluous and unimportant, harmonious relations with other people and nature.
