Summary:The Conceptual Design for New Safe Confinement for “Shelter” object of the forth ChNPP unit passed a comprehensive state expert review, which was finished in April, 2004, and has been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. By results of the FS-NSC review a number of safety problems have been revealed. These problems were offered for deciding on further design stages. Detail review of this problems is the theme of this article.
