Резюме:Probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) is en efficient tool for NPP safety analysis and improvement. PSA should have a reliable and valid basis and be updated to take into account NPP modifications. The modifications can be physical (upgrades of NPP systems and equipment), operational (change of procedures), and organizational. Therefore, PSA updated to incorporate changes (or modifications) at NPPs is referred to as living PSA. The concept of living PSA is formulated. A logical and structured approach to classification of NPP upgrades in terms of PSA technical elements using qualitative and quantitative criteria is proposed.
