Nuclear and Radiation Safety| Резюме: | The paper presents criteria to control quality of welded stainless steel pipes for nuclear power plant condensers and problems of assessing their operational reliability.
Based on the integrated approach, welded long thin-walled pipes made of stainless steel TP 316L and its closest analogues were checked for compliance with regulatory requirements of ASTM A249 and EN 10217-7 standards. It was found that quality, geometric dimensions, structure, mechanical and technological properties of pipes produced by various manufacturers in modern production using TIG welding seam correspond to the requirements of stated standards. According to tests, the weld of pipes is resistant to intergranular corrosion, but also tends to pitting corrosion and knife corrosion. Pipes for NPP condensers should additionally be tested in order to optimize corrosion resistance requirements and for proper selection of pipe materials for condensers. |
