The study revealed decrease in energy of the 137Cs gamma source when gamma beam is parallel to metal surface within the range of angles 0-1.66º relative to the straight line passing through the detector – metal surface – gamma source. Decrease in gamma energy was examined by reducing the number of gamma rays in the complete absorption peak to the Compton length level and increasing the Compton effect. The number of gamma rays in the complete absorption peak decreases by 3.5 times in the angle range under study. |
