Nuclear and Radiation SafetyРезюме: | Severe accidents at nuclear power plants seriously affected nuclear energy and increased doubts of society in its safety. All countries developing nuclear energy, as well as IAEA, are working to improve the regulatory approaches to safety of nuclear power plants in the light of the lessons learnt from the Fukushima accident. Ukraine has also started these activities. The State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety is developing a new version of the General Safety Requirements for Nuclear Power Plants (OTB-2013) to replace the OPB-2008 version. New provisions are proposed for the draft regulation. |
