Резюме:The on-site wet spent fuel storage facility ISF-1 is currently used for interim storage of spent nuclear fuel being or have been removed from Chornobyl NPP units. The ISF-1 preliminary criticality analyses demonstrated the need for using the burnup credit principle in nuclear safety analysis. This paper provides results from the selection and testing of computer codes for determining the isotopic composition of RBMK spent fuel. Analysis is carried out and conclusions are made on conservative approaches to fuel burnup credit in subsequent ISF-1 safety assessment.
