The regulatory polity on radiation safety in Ukraine is discussed. It is proposed that the licensing procedure in the area of nuclear energy be simplified by issuing a unified document — license — by the State Nuclear Regulatory Committee of Ukraine. The Health and Epidemiological Service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine should be charged with issuing a conclusion of state health and epidemiological review for facilities that use radiation sources. Обговорюється стан регуляторної політики в Україні у сфері радіаційної безпеки. Пропонується спростити систему видачі дозволів на проведення діяльності у сфері використання ядерної енергії шляхом видачі єдиного документа — ліцензії — Державним комітетом ядерного регулювання. На санепідслужбу МОЗ України слід покласти обов’язок видачі висновку державної санітарно-епідеміологічної експертизи на об’єкти, де провадиться діяльність з використанням джерел іонізуючого випромінювання.
