Наведено наявні оцінки кількості ядерних материалів у післяаварійному енергоблоці № 4 ЧАЕС. Розглянуто систему й методи обліку та контролю ядерних материалів на об’єкті «Укриття». Продемонстровано спільність завдань, що стоять перед обліком, контролем і фізичним захистом ядерних материалів. Описано конфігурацію системи фізичного захисту на об’єкті «Укриття», її специфіку та фактори, що здатні негативно впливати на її ефективність.
