| Summary: | The problems of radiation monitoring of scrap metal at nuclear power plants decommissioning are analyzed. Basic methodological recommendations are given on radiation monitoring of scrap metal transported from NPP sites. These recommendations are developed in compliance with the requirements of hygienic and ecological rules and standards on radiation safety. As a basis for this methodology the analysis of Chernobyl NPP equipment contamination was taken, performed with the use of available data on comprehensive engineering and radiation survey of NPP units. |
