Nuclear and Radiation SafetyРезюме: | According to the requirements for seismic resistance design and assessment of seismic safety of Ukrainian NPP units, seismic resistance for equipment, piping of nuclear power plants and their support structures is justified using calculation, experimental methods or combination thereof considering current regulations and standards. Hence, during the assessment of seismic resistance for cast iron equipment of NPP units, experts should select regulations and standards in accordance with which the calculations will be performed. Solving the issue of correct selection of regulations and approaches to the assessment of seismic resistance for cast iron equipment of NPP units causes certain difficulties.
The article describes the analysis and justifies the selection of regulations for the calculating assessment of seismic resistance for cast iron equipment of NPP units. The developed general principles of the calculating assessment for seismic resistance of NPP cast iron equipment are presented.
