Резюме:In the next decade, the period of industrial operation for 12 out of 15 power units of Ukrainian nuclear power plants will reach 50 years. So, with a high probability, they will be decommissioned. At the beginning of 2021, regulatory document “General Safety Provisions for Decommissioning of Nuclear Installations” (NP 306.2.230-2020) entered into force. The mentioned document contains requirements for the procedure for determining and justifying the decommissioning strategy from the moment nuclear installations are designed and identifies factors that should be used to compare possible decommissioning options. The methodology of the multifactorial analysis for justification of the decommissioning option/strategy for operating power units using the same factors was developed and applied in the development of their decommissioning concepts. An analysis was performed, as a result of which the expediency and possibility of justifying the decommissioning option according to the mentioned methodology using the mentioned factors were determined. The analysis was carried out both for nuclear installations under design and for installations in operation. As a result, proposals were made to correct the procedure and methodology for determining and justifying the decommissioning strategy for nuclear installations. It is suggested to use the initial data obtained during additional project developments aimed at clarifying decommissioning cost indicators in terms of dismantling, radioactive waste management and radiation safety during the multifactorial analysis.
