Резюме:Regulatory control of nuclear and radiation safety is one of the main principles of the state policy in nuclear energy use and radiation protection. The article contains the main outputs of the SSTC NRS activities in 2017-2021 within the support of the state nuclear regulatory authority of Ukraine in developing the national regulatory system of nuclear and radiation safety both for implementing regulatory plans of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine, and within international cooperation. Regulatory documents in nuclear energy use were developed by the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine in the following areas: safety regulation of nuclear installations at all life stages; safety regulation of radioactive waste management; safety regulation for transport of radioactive materials; safety regulation of radiation sources; safety regulation of uranium plants. The main objective of the development/revision of regulatory documents on nuclear and radiation safety is to harmonize provisions of national requirements with the relevant standards of the European Union, recommendations of the International Atomic Energy Agency and reference levels of the Western European Nuclear Regulators Association. The article also describes the participation of the enterprise in the work of the International Atomic Energy Agency committees and in the activities of the working groups of the Western European Nuclear Regulators Association.
