The allelopathic activity of plant remains was 1.5–6 times higher and depended on cultivars. The high positive correlation between allelopathic activity of plant remains and content of phenolics was established. The effect of plant remains on biochemical characteristics and phytotoxicity of soil rhizosphere was investigated. Вивчали алелопатичні властивості вегетуючих органів та рослинного опаду Syringa vulgaris L. Алелопатична активність рослинного опаду була вищою в 1,5–6,0 разів та залежала від сорту. Встановлено тісний позитивний взаємозв’язок між активністю рослинних решток та вмістом фенольних речовин. Досліджено вплив рослинних решток на біохімічний стан та фітотоксичність прикореневого середовища. M.M.
