Veltheimia viridifolia Jacq. is a new highly ornamental species, capable of growing and blossoming in cool glasshouses without additional light in winter. Blossoming and growth peculiarities have been described and the way of vegetative species propagation has been offered. Показано доцільність розширення асортименту квітково-декоративних рослин захищеного ґрунту за рахунок нових для Донбасу видів, які невибагливі до умов вирощування. Veltheimia viridifolia Jacq. є новим високодекоративним видом, здатним до росту та цвітіння у холодних оранжереях без додаткового освітлення у зимовий період. Описано особливості росту та цвітіння виду. Запропоновано засіб штучного вегетативного розмноження виду за умов оранжереї. M.M.
