The best of these plants were used for industrial plantations and became the basis for new hybrids. Academician M.F. Kashchenko made a valuable contribution to introduction and acclimatization of southern fruit cultures: peach apricot and cherry-plum. Academician M.M. Grishko was an active participant and initiator of the National Botanical Gardens creation the garden which is the scientific research institution and the Centre of Botanical-public education in Ukraine. |
