The criteria for collections differentiation by quality-quantity structure have been determined and it was proposed to establish five base standards: fragmentary, semi-complete, complete, absolute, maximum collections. Здійснено систематизацію колекційних фондів культурних рослин за часовим та якісно-кількісними параметрами. Виділено три типи колекцій за тривалістю їх існування у часі: транзиторні (тимчасові), онопролонгуючі (змінно-довготривалі), інкризоконстантні (прогресуюче-постійні). Визначено критерії для диференціації колекцій за якісно-кількісним складом і запропоновано встановити за цими показниками п’ять їх базових рівнів: фрагментарна колекція, напівкомплектна, комплектна, повна, максимальна.
