Узагальнено результати багаторічних досліджень з інтродукції айви довгастої (Cydonia obionga Mill.) на півночі України. Показано, що відселектовані перспективні форми добре адаптувалися, репродуктивна здатність їх в основному залежить від ступеня зимостійкості і знаходиться на рівні репродукції місцевих видів, а в окремі роки – і вище. Виявлено основні потенційні біологічні особливості, мобілізація яких сприяє успішному культивуванню айви. M.M.
