The particular attention is given to undestanding of relation between the growth of plant under greenhouse conditions and ecology of natural habitats. Наведено результати вивчення особливостей розвитку дорослих рослин і сіянців Paphiopedilum insigne (Wall. ex Lindl.) Pfitz. в умовах оранжерейної культури. Розроблено технологію культивування (склад субстрату, температурний режим, живлення) рослин цього виду. Особлива увага приділяється критичному моменту в технології культивування – переведенню рослин з асептичних умов культури in vitro в умови оранжереї. Встановлено чіткий зв’язок між рівнем опадів в межах природного ареалу та особливостями розвитку рослин в умовах оранжерейної культури. M.M.
