Висвітлено результати багаторічної роботи з інтродукції та селекції південних і нових плодових рослин у Національному ботанічному саду НАН України. Показано можливість використання генетичної різноманітності вихідного матеріалу для створення в Лісостепу України перспективних сортів і форм, наведено характеристику нових сортів, переданих у Державне сортовипробування України.
