The results of studying the features of fruiting and the basic characteristics of seeds which are got as a result of spontaneous repollination of Astіlbe Buch.-Ham. ex D. Don plants varieties are given in order to solve a number of problems in the introduction, breeding and seed production of this crop. Considerable variability in the number of seeds produced, their size and weight of 1000 seeds of plants of different varieties is set. The productivity of seed formation in different parts of the inflorescence of Astilbe is studied and it is set that the most productive is its middle part. The comparative analysis of sowing qualities of seeds of plants of Astilbe varieties depending on the year of its reproduction is carried out and some differences in the number and weight of seeds in different years of the study are found. Six basic types of surface microrelief of seeds are identified. Наведено результати вивчення особливостей плодоношення та основних характеристик насіння, отриманого від спонтанного перезапилення рослин сортів астильби (Astilbe Buch.-Ham. ex D. Don), з метою вирішення низки проблем інтродукції, селекції та насінництві цієї культури. Встановлено значну варіабельність за кількістю насіння, його розмірами та масою 1000 насінин. Вивчено продуктивність насіннєутворення в різних частинах суцвіття астильби. Встановлено, що найпродуктивнішою є його середня частина. Проведено порівняльний аналіз посівних якостей насіння рослин сортів астильби залежно від року його репродукції. Виявлено різницю в кількості та масі насіння в різні роки дослідження. Виділено шість основних типів мікрорельєфу поверхні насіння. M.M.
