Розглянуто систематичне положення видів роду Vaccinium на основі їх сучасної класифікації та внесено уточнення до українських назв цих видів. Запропоновано для аборигенних видів залишити назви, які склалися історично, – брусниця, чорниця, буяхи, журавлина, для інтродукованих видів Oxycoccus – журавлина, Vaccinium – вакциніум. M.M.
