It has been found that alder’s water-soluble compounds show different allelopathic activity depending on species, studied organ, test-object and concentration of active compound. Amaranth and wheat roots appeared to be the most sensitive to the alder allelopatically active substances than coleoptile. The leaves’ activities were higher than those one of stems and roots. The immature plants showed more difference in allelopathic potential than mature plants. Наведено дані про алелопатичну активність деяких видів роду Alnus Mill. Показано, що водорозчинні сполуки вільхи виявляють різну алелопатичну активність залежно від виду, досліджуваного органа, тест-об’єкта і концентрації діючої речовини. Амарант та корені пшениці виявили більшу чутливість до алелопатично активних речовин вільхи, ніж колеоптелі пшениці. Активність листків була вищою за таку стебла і коренів. Іматурні рослини відрізнялися більшим алелопатичним потенціалом, ніж генеративні. M.M.
