At a result of the researches it was found out that during the existence of the institution the 24 subjects of scientific researchers were conducted, which are concern such of major directions as the preservation and reconstruction of historical park landscapes, the introduction of plants, a systematic and a taxonomy of plants, the optimization of agrotechnics, the cultivation of ornamental plants, a resistance of tree plants to pests and diseases, the allelopaty, the conservation of the rare plants, etc. The history of formation and the modern state of plants collection fund are analyzed. Olexandria arboretum is one of leading academic institutions in Ukraine, which tasks are the conservation of phytodiversity and the introduction of plants. Висвітлено історію створення дендропарку “Олександрія” НАН України. Проаналізовано процес становлення дендропарку як наукової установи у складі АН України. Виконано 24 теми наукових досліджень за такими напрямами: збереження та реконструкція історичних паркових ландшафтів, інтродукція рослин, систематика і таксономія рослин, оптимізація прийомів агротехніки, вирощування декоративних рослин, стійкість деревних рослин до шкідників та хвороб, алелопатія, збереження рідкісних рослин тощо. Проаналізовано історію створення і сучасний стан колекційного фонду рослин. Дендропарк “Олександрія” – одна з провідних академічних установ України, завданнями яких є збереження фіторізноманіття та інтродукція рослин. M.M.
