The direct relationship between the lipid peroxidation product content and water degree in the Betula pendula leaves was established. The significant increasing of lipid peroxidation product content and free proline in leaves during the day has been shown adaptive potential growth in plants. Наведено результати експериментів з вивчення впливу водного режиму листків Betula pendula Roth на динаміку накопичення продуктів пероксидного окиснення ліпідів та проліну. Встановлено пряму залежність між вмістом продуктів пероксидного окиснення ліпідів та ступенем оводненості листків берези повислої, істотне підвищення концентрації продуктів пероксидного окиснення ліпідів та проліну у листках, що свідчить про зростання адаптивного потенціалу рослин до водного дефіциту протягом доби.
