Запропоновано уніфіковану класифікацію цвітіння деревних і кущових листопадних рослин, в основу якої покладено принцип генетично успадкованого морфогенезу генеративних бруньок. Усі варіанти цвітіння розділили на два типи: основне й додаткове. Останнє об'єднує шість підтипів: запізніле, передчасне, реверсійне, репараційне, ремонтантне й проліфіковане. Запізніле й репараційне розподілено на дві групи – відповідно метео- й кліматогенне, метео- й механогенне, а передчасне – на вісім: ендо-, метео-, фітопато-, ентомо-, хемо-, термо-, механо- й кліматогенне.
